Poultry and Hog Sales Increase



- Hog and poultry sales in Georgia during December, re-
sulted in the selling of 1,529, 645 pounds of hogs, and 167,010
pounds of poultry, for a gross total return of $75,466. Twenty-
seven co-operative sales were held, disposing of products for
forty-eight communities.

The Bureau of Markets c0- operated with county agents

in conducting the sales.

Among towns represented in the Bare s tabulation of
hogs sales and the tonnage and proceeds at each were:

Camilla, 23,030 pounds, $1,636.45; Vienna, 17,690 pounds,
$1,212.70; Thomasville, 27,210 pounds, $1,327.64; Fort Val-
ley 16.860 pounds $1,285.30; Bainbridge, 36,880 pounds, $2,-

: 459.40; McRae, 50,130 pounds, $4,111.94; Thomasville, 34,000

pounds, $2,432.70; Waycross, 5,890 pounds, $360.81; Thomas:

ville, 31,995 pounds, $2,273.53; Statesboro, 32,750 pounds, $2,-
