Fair Business Practices Act of 1975; require cash overpayments to be remitted by merchants in the form of store credit under certain circumstances
Bill Summary: HB amends O.C.G.A. 10-1-393.18 by adding a new Code section that requires certain merchants to return change in the form of store credit when the merchant does not have exact change to give a buyer for overpayment.

HB 1093 Agriculture; prohibit acquisition of possessory interest in certain land by certain foreign persons and entities
Bill Summary: HB 1093 makes it illegal for nonresident aliens to acquire directly or indirectly agricultural land or any other land areas within a ten-mile radius of any military facility. This bill does not apply to the acquisition of residential property. Those found in violation of the provisions within this Code section shall be guilty of a felony and shall be fined no more than $15,000 or face imprisonment of no less than one year and no more than two years, or both.
