THE STATE OF GEORGIA
EXECUTIVE ORDER
BY THE GOVERNOR:
FLAGS ON STATE CAPITOL BUILDING AND IN FULTON COUNTY ORDERED LOWERED TO HALF-STAFF
WHEREAS: Lieutenant Helio Armando Garcia III, 47, with the South Fulton Police Department was killed in the line of duty on Wednesday, April 16, 2025; and
WHEREAS: Lt. Garcia was one of the original officers with the South Fulton Police Department where he served since 2018; and
WHEREAS: It is fitting and proper to recognize Lt. Garcia's service to Fulton County and the State of Georgia by lowering the flags on the State Capitol building and in Fulton County to half-staff. NOW, THEREFORE, IN HONOR OF AND AS A MARK OF RESPECT FOR THE MEMORY OF LIEUTENANT HELIO ARMANDO GARCIA III, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY
ORDERED: That the flag of the United States and the flag of the State of Georgia be flown at half-staff on the State Capitol building and in Fulton County on Monday, April 21, 2025, the day of Lt. Garcia's memorial, until sunset. This 18th day of April 2025.
