HB 799 by Representative DeLoach of the 167th LONG COUNTY: House Bill 799 revises the compensation for Board of Education members of Long County.
HB 801 by Representative DeLoach of the 167th LONG COUNTY: House Bill 801 revises the powers of the Board of Commissioners chairperson of Long County and provides for a county manager.
HB 802 by Representative Kelley of the 16th CITY OF CEDARTOWN: House Bill 802 provides for a referendum to authorize the City of Cedartown to exercise redevelopment powers.
SB 206 by Senator Summers of the 13th CITY OF ASHBURN; CITY OF DOUGLAS; CITY OF FITZGERALD; CITY OF OCILLA; CITY OF TIFTON: Senate Bill 206 creates the South Georgia Energy Authority.
SB 331 by SUBSTITUTE by Senator Dixon of the 45th CITY OF WINDER; BARROW COUNTY: Senate Bill 331 repeals the City of Winder and Barrow County Joint Airport Authority.
PURSUANT TO ARTICLE VII, SECTION II, PARAGRAPH IV OF THE STATE CONSTITUTION, THE FOLLOWING LOCAL BILLS RELATING TO HOMESTEAD
EXEMPTIONS REQUIRE A TWO-THIRDS ROLL-CALL VOTE FOR PASSAGE:
HB 803 by Representative Hatchett of the 155th CITY OF DUBLIN: House Bill 803 provides a homestead exemption from City of Dublin school district ad valorem taxes through the 2030 tax year in the following amounts: $7,000 for residents who are between 62 and 64 years of age; $14,000 for residents who are between 65 and 72 years of age; $21,000 for residents who are between 73 and 79 years; and in the full value of the homestead for residents who are 80 years of age or older.
HB 805 by Representative Hatchett of the 155th CITY OF DUBLIN: House Bill 805 provides a homestead exemption from the City of Dublin school district ad valorem taxes through the 2030 tax year in the amount by which the assessed value exceeds the base year value of that homestead, while being subject to annual increases up to 20 percent.
HB 806 by Representative Rhodes of the 124th OGLETHORPE COUNTY: House Bill 806 provides a homestead exemption from Oglethorpe County school district ad valorem taxes for residents who are 67 years of age or older in the amount by which the current year assessed value exceeds the base year value of the homestead.
HB 807 by Representative Thomas of the 21st CITY OF WOODSTOCK: House Bill 807 revises a homestead exemption from City of Woodstock ad valorem taxes for residents who are 62 years of age or older in the full amount of the homestead by clarifying the five-year residency requirement while extending the exemption to surviving spouses, without regard of the residency requirement.
