REFLECTIONS
Thou shalt show me the path o f life; in thy presence is the fullness o fjoy, and at thy right hand there is pleasure for evermore.
Psalm 16:11
James Albert Wright, Sr., the fourth child of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Wright, of Matthews, Georgia, made his advent into the world on January 23, 1912.
James received his early education at the Jefferson County Public School in Jefferson County. At a very early age, James gave himself to Christ via Ways Grove Baptist Church.
In 1929, James left Jefferson County and moved to Augusta, Georgia, where he met and later married the former Katie Mae Tyler. It was in Augusta that he remained until his demise.
James was employed by the Boardman Oil Company, The Elks Lodge and the Augusta Coca Cola Bottling Company, from whence he retired in 1977 after 40 years. While at the Augusta Coca Cola Company, he received certificates, monetary awards and other recognition for his many years of service as a devoted employee.
In February of 1980, James transferred his membership from Springfield Baptist Church to Trinity CME Church to serve Christ with his family.
For all those who knew him, he had their love and respect. His warm hospitality and love for everyone will remain with us.
He leaves to remember his life, a loving wife, Katie; four daughters, Janet, Veronica, Dianne, and Peggie; three sons, Jimmy, Arthur, and Ted; eleven grandchildren, Barry, Sonya, Deiadra, Benjamin, Deidre, LaShaun, Shajra, Patrick, Juli, Renee and Jai; three sons-in-law, Benjamin, Gil, and Bill; two daughters-in-law, Pat and Sherry; six sisters, Florann, Willie, Marie, Lela, Mildred and Barbara, three brothers, Woodrow, Robert, and Leroy; nine sisters-in-law, seven brothers-in-law, many, many loving nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
"Cinder His Wings, what a refuge in sorrow! How the heart yearningly turns to rest! Often when earth has no balm for my healing, There I find comfort, and there I am blest. "
Amen.
