A TRIBUTE
What better could there be to say When shades of night appear, Than that the day has been well spent In service far and near; That even in the little things I've done my very best; What more could consolate me As I lay down to rest.
What sweeter could there be to know When wings of fleeting time. Have folded all about me And I seek a higher clime. Than through whatever little deed, I've done from day to day, That I have helped somebody As I passed along this way.
What more in Heaven's glorious realm Could bring my soul delight, Than just to know its endless joys Without the shade of night. And midst the everlasting praise As angel voices swell To hear my Savior sweetly say, "Be calm my child, tis well!"
