"Life, I know not w hat thou art, B ut know that you and I must part; A n d when or where and how we met
I own to me is a secret yet . . . Life, we have been long together, Through sunshine and cloudy weather; `T is sad to part where friends are dear; Perhaps `tw ill cause a sigh or tear Then steal away, give little warning. Say not farewell, but some day in some brighter clime

Poem
God hath not promised skies always blue, Flower-strewn pathways all our lives through.
God hath not promised sun without rain, Jo y without sorrow, peace without pain. But God hath promised strength for the day,
Rest from thy labor, light for the way; Grace for thy trails, help from above,
Unfailing sympathy, undying love.
