** O B I T U A R Y **
Mrs. Jessie Fouch Williams was bom in Lincoln County, Georgia on October 12, 1884.
At an early age she was baptized at Antioch AME Church but later became affiliated with the Mt. Zion Baptist Church when she moved into that community.
At age nineteen she was wedded to the late Henry E. Wil liams, and to this marriage eleven children were bom, eight of whom survive her.
Mrs. Williams left the Lincoln County Community more than sixty years ago and established residence on Pleasant Home Road, Augusta, which the family still calls "home".

"I must be brave for the children's sake!" That's what the mother said years ago Over the anguish and hurt and ache When father was taken. And all we know And all we are at the present time, We owe to her courage and faith sublime.
"I must be strong for the children's sake!" And out of her eyes she wiped the tears To face her problem, alone, to make A home for us through the coming years. Grief was hers for an endless while, But all of us needed her cherry smile.
"I must keep on for the children's sake!" This was the answer the mother made To the woe which threatened her heart to break, With soul courageous and unafraid. And all through the lonely years and long The little mother was brave,;was strong.
