MR. BENNIE L. WILLIAMS was born in Augusta, Georgia on September 29, 1943 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Willie (Lillie Mae) Williams. He entered into rest Monday, Lebruary 18, 2013.
Ben attended Richmond County Public Schools. He was formerly employed with the Richmond County Sheriffs Department and the Richmond County Marshal's Office. He was employed with Best Buy from 1993, until his passing.
Ben loved bowling and was very good at it; he won many awards. His bowling experience took him across the United States. Ben also enjoyed fast cars, racing, and motorcycles at Jackson Raceway.
Ben loved a clean car never letting his car get dirty inside or out. "Immaculate," his dress attire was the same way. People always said, "he dressed to the nines."
Ben received his pilot's license later on in his life. He loved to fly and was very knowledgeable about planes and how they work.
Ben was preceded in death by his parents; son, Byron Maurice Williams; brother, Willie L. Williams, Jr.; sister, Louise Kendricks and mother-in-law, Shirley J. Whitmore.
Survivors are: a loving and devoted wife, Robin W. Williams, Grovetown, Georgia; son, Bradford Stewart Williams, Augusta, Georgia; step-son, Derrick Jonathan Donchez, Martinez, Georgia; brother, Jasper Wells, Valdosta, Georgia; step-sister, Mary (Kenneth, Sr.) Wilson, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; former wife, Johnetta Sullivan Williams; father-in-law, James F. Whitmore; sisters-in-law, Tracy L. Whitmore and Mattie Williams; and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
