Mrs. Alice K. Martin Williams, daughter of the late John and Cornealus A. Martin was born March 13, 1872 in Lincolnton County, Ga.
She was converted and baptized at an early age by the Rev. George White, at the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Lincolnton County Ga.
"Mrs. Alice" was married to Mr. Adolphus Williams, to this union, nine children were born. Her husband and two children pre cede 's her in death.
A loved friend has departed from this earth for another land. "A city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God." (Hebrews 11:10)
"God" has come once again to receive His own unto Himself. Mrs. Alice K. Martin Williams, entered into eternal rest, Saturday, June 15, 1974 - 7:30 P. M. at her residence, Rte 7 Box 347 - Augusta, Ga.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Jennie Diggs - Augusta, Ga.; Mrs. Sarah Hankins - Southport, N. C.; Mrs. Ossie B. Smith of Los Angeles, Calif.; and Mrs. Anne Marable - Bronx, N. Y.; two sons, Mr. Henry T. Williams of Los Angeles, Calif.; and Mr. Mitchel H. Wil liams - Augusta, Ga.; one step-daughter, Mrs. Louise Smith - Los Angeles, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Doyl Leverett --Lexington, N. C.; a dear friend, Mrs. Leola Johnson; twenty-five grandchildren, forty-six great grandchildren, twenty great great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
