ALICE BURTON WILLIAMS

PRECIOUS MEMORIES

Alice Burton Williams was the sixth of six children born to Willie and Fannie Burton on June 10, 1941 in Richmond County of Au gusta, Georgia.
Educated in the Augusta Public School System, she attended Ursula Collins Elementary School, and graduated from Lucy C. Laney High Schools Class of 1959.
In 1969, she married Willie Williams, Jr. To this union, two children were born: Warkenda G. Williams Casey and Waninahi L. Will iams.
Alice retired in 2005 from the Social Security Administration in Greeneville, Tennessee where she worked since 1975.
She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church, Greeneville, Tennessee where she worked in the nursery teaching numerous chil dren the wonders and love of our Lord and Savior.
"Rather than bemoan the absence of the flame, Let us celebrate how brightly it burned!"
To cherish her memory, Alice leaves: two daughters, Warkenda Williams-Casey and Waninahi Williams, one son-in-law, Brendan Casey; as well as the childrens father, Willie Williams Jr.; twin grand daughters, Deirdre and Gabriel Casey, and a grandson, Declan Casey; two sisters, Eurnice Terrell and Emma Burton President; a devoted cousin, Margie Murry; two beloved aunts, Pauline Williams and her husband Rev. George Williams and Bessie Burton; two beloved uncles, Bettis Burton and Rev. George Williams; a cherished friend, Mildred Bell; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.
Alice will be joining her brothers, Robert and James Burton, and sister, Bernese Kent in Glory.

Mama, Each day we will continue to sing your song of quiet beauty, dignity, strength and love. Each moment you will be reflected in all we do. You will live on not only in our songs, but also the songs we teach our children and they teach theirs. You have left us physically, but all that you are lives on in the songs we continue to sing. -Your Daughters
