Rev. Dr. Robert Williams, presiding
rrMta#M> was born November 28, 1920 in
Lincolnton, Ga. to the late Pete and Eula Mae Johnson. She passed on from labor to reward Sunday, October 26, 2003 at the Medical College of Georgia.
At an early age, Mrs. Williams was baptized at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Lincolnton. Upon completing her high school education, she moved to Augusta where she joined Thankful Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. N.T. Young. She later became a member of Servants of God Baptist Church where she remained a faithful servant until her health began to fail.
Mrs. Williams was employed by St. Joseph hospital and retired in 1988 to spend time taking care of her beloved granddaughter (deceased) and great granddaughter. In all, she gave birth to three children with one, Shirley Jackson, preceding her in death. Mrs. Williams poured all of her love into her children and grandchildren ensuring that they were taken care of even when it meant denying herself. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Heaven has indeed gained another angel.
Mrs. Williams leaves to cherish her memory: One daughter. Rose P. Williams of Augusta; one son, Joe Clemmons 111 of Augusta; three sisters, Rosa Johnson, Elease Smith, Dorothy (Julian) Clark, all of Augusta; four brothers, Frank W. Johnson, London, England, Roy M. Johnson, Oxford Hill, Md.. Walter E. Johnson, Columbus, Oh., Pete F. Johnson Jr., Chicago, 111.; eight grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren including a special great grand, Jessica Naomi Johnson, one great great grandchild, two sisters-in-law, and a host of neices, nephews, cousins, and friends.
