Mr. W illie Marshall W ells was born August 1, 1912 in Plum Branch, S.C. He was born to Kelly and Hannah Marshall. After the death of his father at the age of 2 his mother Hannah and his stepfather, George Wells.
He moved to Augusta, Georgia at an early age. He was converted and baptized at an early age at the Fielding Spring Baptist Church. After his marriage he moved his membership to Carey H ill Baptist Church.
Mr. W ells was a retired employee of Babcock and Wilcox, with 34 years of service. He was also a member of the Hyde and Aragon Park improvement committee Inc., a member of the Christian Singers and a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather and loyal friend. Mr. W illie M arshall W ells departed this life April 28, 1985 at the ICU of University Hospital, Augusta, Georgia.
Mr. W ells was united in Holy Wedlock to Miss Nina Lillian Henderson June 3, 1943. They were married for 41 years and to this union four children were born and a special blessing was added to the family. Three children proceeded in death.
At his home going he leaves to mourn a devoted wife, Mrs. Nina Lillian W ells; two daughters, Mrs. Eunice W. Jordan and Miss Sharon D. W ells; one brother, Mr. Pless G. W ells, all of Augusta, Georgia; two sisters, Mrs. Elouise Jones, Augusta, Mrs. Beatrice Bell, Chicago, 111.; one son-in-law, Deacon Ernest L. Jordan, Sr.; four grandchildren, Miss Deborah Miranda Jordan, Mr. Ernest L. Jordan, Jr., Miss Dewanna Jordan and Master Darvis Levi Jordan; three adopted grandchildren, Mr. Craig Beasley, Miss RoMesha L. Striggles and Miss Summer L. Striggles; four sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, a devoted friend, Hosie Golphin, a special nephew, Mr. Allen Jerome Scott and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
