Obituary
Fannie Me Dickerson was born September 9, 1928 in McBean, Georgia. She was one of nine born to the late Georgia E. and Rebecca Burton Dickerson. On July 17th, she
inherited her crown of glory in Heaven.
At an early age, she accepted Christ under pastorate of Rev. A. W. Vincent at Spirit Creek Baptist where she served faith
fully until her health failed. She touched many due to her teachings on morality and Christian conduct. She was a member of the Senior Choir, Mission, Deacon Board, and the Social Industrial Society. She was also an avid Sunday
School and Bible Study scholar.
She was united in marriage to the late Leonard Wells. June 30, 1989, she retired from the Medical College of Georgia and devoted attention to her favorite pastime of baking cakes for church occasions and family members, especially during the holidays. Sis. Wells was a blessed and strong-
willed person who dedicated her life to the care and concern of others; she was always willing to give to help
others.
She leaves to mourn a beloved sister, Nannie Myles and Goddaughters: Fosteen Myles-Reese and Tjuana Gaines. Brothers-in-law: Thomas Kelly of Augusta and Robert Wells of Sebring, Florida. Sisters-in-law: Willie Maude Dickerson
and Gertrude Hambrey of Augusta, Evella Farmer and Margaret Brown of Wrens, Marie Lewis, Mattie Mikel and
Mamie Ruth Wells of Philadelphia and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

I Have A Place in Heaven
Please don't sing sad songs for me, forget your grief and fears
I am in a perfect place away from pain and tears It's far away from hunger, hurt, want and pride I have a place in Heaven with the Master at my side My life on earth was good as earthly life can go, But paradise is much more than anyone can know. My heart is filled with happiness and rejoicing to walk with
God in perfect peace, a joy forever new.
