departed this earthly life at h er residence and proudly accepted h er place on the train bound fo r H eaven on N ovem ber 30, 2010.
She was born on June 24, 1912 in E dgefield County, S C to the late W illiam M athis and The late M innie Virginia W illiams M athis.
She jo in ed the Pine H ill B aptist Church at an early age. She was a faithful m em ber at both Pine H ill and M t. Pleasant B aptist Church until h er health declined.
She acquired h er form al education in the rural schools o f E dgefield County, SC.
She united in holy m atrim ony to the late H andy W eaver. To this union, seven children were born. Four preceded h er in death. They were A nnie Louise N icholson, W illie Jam es W eaver, Ralph W eaver and Freddie Weaver.
She leaves to love, cherish and m ourn h er hom e going a son, L eroy W eaver, Sr. (Annette), A iken, SC; two daughters, H enrietta W eaver M cM anus (George), Johnston, S C and Leatta W eaverJohnson, (Rev. Charlie) Trenton, SC; a special granddaughter o f the hom e, Brenda Pope(Arthur), Johnston, SC; sisters-in-law, Estee M athis , W ashington, DC, Leila M athis, Johnston, SC, Ida M athis Barnes, Edgefield, SC; 47 grandchildren, 64 greatgrandchildren,2 5 great-great grandchildren; and a h o st o f other relative and friends.
