Obituary
QeuBe" 9^JWilsflington was summoned to
her heavenly home. The call came on January 9,1998, at the Augusta Regional Medical Center.
She was bom July 4, 1909, in Appling (Columbia County), Georgia, to the late Tobin and Carrie Leverett.
She was baptized at an early age at the Lampkin Grove Baptist Church by the late Rev. George W. Jones. She performed loyal and faithful service to the church as a member of the Deaconess Board, the Sunbeam Club, and the Deacon's Union.
She was a devoted cook at Ursula Collins Elementary School, Richmond County, for 34 years. She was well respected by the staff and students and was always highly complimented on those "fantastic rolls" that were prepared daily. She was also a member of her own Neighborhood Watch Association.
She was united in marriage to the late Deacon George E. Washington in 1926. To this 69 year union, three children were bom. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.
She leaves to mourn her memory: one son, W. Edward Washington, Augusta, GA; three daughters, Carrie L. Wagner, Memphis, TN; Naomi Brown, Orange, NJ; and Eva Hightower, Augusta, GA; one brother, Glenn Leverett, Chicago, IL; one sister-in-law, Doris Leverett, Chicago, IL; one daughter-in-law, Minnie L. Washington, Augusta, GA; one brother-in-law, Solomon Parks, Augusta, GA; eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Inseparable from your family, for you said it was the foundation.
End less love is what we'll always have for you, oh, what an everlasting sensation.
