James Paul Washington was bom in Augusta, Georgia to Ozella Washington (Farrow) and Buddy Eubanks on October 18, 1944. He entered into rest J anuary 2 4 ,2 0 1 0 at his residence. His early education was obtained through Weed Elementary, Richmond County, Georgia until the age o f twelve years did. At this time he moved Math his mother and step-father Willie James Farrow, Sr. to Los Angeles, California. He attended Foshay Junior High School and Manual Arts High School where he played basketball. He played recreational county baseball as the pitcher. James was an avid fan o f the Los Angeles Lakers and the University o f Southern California Trojans. He was a Bid Whist champion, where he won several trophies. One o f the highlights df his life was his visit to the Holy Land where he was baptized in the Jordan River and walked the road o f Jericho.
James was a veteran o f the United States Navy, where he served his country dutifully for four years. James M'as diligent, efficient and always on task. He Worked for the U.S. Postal Service, Schenley Distributors, and Jackson Limousine Service Los Angeles, California and Davis Appliance and Furniture, Augusta, Georgia.
Fie served faithfully as Chairman o f the Finance Ministry, on the Audio Ministry, Transportation Ministry, Brotherhood Ministry and was the Coach cif the softball, basketball and volleyball teams o f Beulah Grove Baptist Church. He enjoyed the fellowship o f the ministry, but his main objective was to collect the first place trophy and there were many.
James affectionately referred to all youth -athletes as "rookie". James had a zest and a zeal for life. He was a land hearted man who was very loyal to his family and friends.
His generous spirit will live forever in the hearts o f a loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Delores Washington o f Augusta, Georgia; one daughter, Jamie Washington o f Los Angeles, California; one son, Brandon (Valda) Washington o f Augusta, Georgia; one sister, Patricia (Arthur) Graves of Augusta, Georgia; one brother, Willie James Farrow, Jr. of Augusta, Georgia; a devoted cousin, Beverly (Robert) Crawley of Augusta, Georgia; two god brothers, David Donaldson o f Los Angeles, California and Ernest (Lisa) Moss of Augusta, Georgia; one sister-in-law; DeLois Fairley o f Waco, Texas; three brothers-inlaw Ronald Fairley o f Los Angeles, California, Patrick Fairley, o f Waco, Texas and Ray (Renee) Fairley of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one god child, Keven J. Myrick o|f Augusta, Georgia; a devoted niece Jernail Cooper o f Augusta, Georgia; se'ven grandchildren, Marquell, Eddie, Jaron, Travon, Jaylyn, Quartney and C|iiinton; a special grandmother, Frances Washington o f Augusta, Georgia and a;host o f other family and friends to carry on his memory.
