Matthew 7:8
Ebenezer Baptist Church Wednesday, September 21, 1988 4:00 P.M.
Rev. Roy D. Andrews, Officiating

The pathway of the just is a shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. This is a tender hour, but in no way an hour of tragedy. There is something utterly appropriate about the going home of this one who has lived a happy and useful life. Who has put so much of goodness, kindness, love, and service for others and loyalty to God into her years.
Mrs. Emma Hawes Warren quietly and peacefully slept away Saturday morning at her residence after an extended il lness.
She was a native of Lincoln County, Georgia; the daughter of the late J.J. Hawes and Alsie Scott Hawes.
Those who will be most profoundly deprived of the warmth of her pleasing personality and the strength of her noble character include her devoted daughter, Dr. Alcye Y. Hawes, Lincolnton, Ga.; one sister, Ms. Rupert Hawes, Lincolnton, Ga.; two brothers, Mr. Lonnie Hawes, Cleveland, Ohio, and Mr. Walter Hawes, Columbus, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to mourn her pass ing.

Ive Done My Work
Ive done my work, Ive sung my song, Ive done some good, Ive done some wrong, And I shall go where I belong; The Lord has willed it so.
He knows my heart and evry thought. He knows what pain and joy Ive brought; And by His love I shall be taught The way to Him I know.
He knows my soul so weak and blind, So full of fear of mortal mind, And He will lead and I shall find The way to Him I know.
He guides my steps, and He knows best He will not harm where He is blest. And so goodnight, Ill take my rest Where sweet wild roses grow.
