OBITUARY
"Life, death and eternity are three of the most powerful words in the English language -- Life is given in infancy and it is his until death. At the coming of death, man loses the earthly body, but the eternal soul of a Christian lives only. "
Mrs. Willie W. Walker, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lindsay Wimberly Sr., was born in Burke County, Ga., October 14, 1899. She passed into eternal sleep Sunday, August 12, 1984, in Burke County Hospital.
She was reared and grew into womanhood in Burke County, where she made a host of friends with her quiet disposition, always ready to lend a helping hand wherever needed.
She leaves to mourn her passing: four daughters, Mrs. Ellen Sims, New York City, Mrs. Queen Patrick, Augusta, Ga., Mrs. Mary Jones, Waynesboro, Ga., and Mrs. Ada Crawford, Augusta, Ga.; three sons, Mr. Ernest Walker, Mr. Albert Walker, both of Waynesboro, Ga., Mr. Orneal Walker of Augusta, Ga.; three foster daughters, Mrs. Corine McPherson, Ms. Perrie L. Mobley and Mrs. Carrie A. Williams, all of Waynesboro, Ga.; eight sisters, Mrs. Addie Howard, Mrs. Mary J. Gaines, Mrs. Fannie Howard, Mrs. Bettye Bonner, Mrs. Easter Rouse and Mrs. Hattie Grubbs, all of Augusta, Ga., Mrs. Beatrice Bell, Goulesr Fla., and Mrs. Lillie M. Rouse, Waynesboro, Ga.; four brothers, Mr. Lind sey Wimberly Jr., Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Mr. Bill Wimberly, West Hollywood, Fla., Mr. Bob Wimberly Sr., and Mr. Alvin Wimberly, both of Waynesboro, Ga.; stepmother, Mrs. Hattie Johnson of Augusta, Ga.; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Minor Williams, also of Augusta, Ga.; 50 grand children and 42 great-grandchildren; six sons-in-law, three daughters-inlaw, and four sisters-in-law; a long-time friend, Mrs. Minda Mylord; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
