Thanks be to God for enriching our lives with the presence of our beloved Joel Virgil Walker, who departed this life on early Sunday Morning, November 13, 201 1 and entered into a fuller life with our Lord. I'm returning, not departing; My steps are homeward bound, I quit the land of strangers For a home on native ground.
I am rising and not setting; This is not night but d a y, Not in darkness, but in sunshine, Like a star, I fa d e a w a y.
All is well with me for ever; I do not fe a r to go, My tide is but beginning Its bright eternal flow .
I am leaving only shadows For the true and fa ir and good, I must not, cannot linger; I would not, though I could.

This is not death's dark portal, `Tis life's golden gate to me, Link a fte r link is broken, And I at last am free.
I am going to the angels, I am going to my G o d ; I know the hand that beckons, I see the hold road.
W h y grieve me with your weeping? Your tears a re all in vain, An hour's farew ell, beloved, And we shall meet again.
Jesus, Thou wilt receive me And welcome me above; This sunshine which now fill me Is Thine own smile of love.

The family of the late Joel Virgil W alker, Sr, would like to extend our warmest gratitude for all acts of love and caring throughout this difficult period of bereavement. A Special thanks to Dr. Keith Sue-Ling, Dr. Alice David, University Hospice, RN Amanda Greene, CNC Natoya Gooden, RN Deirdre Campbell, and his sister Sammie L. Porter.
Your prayers, visits, phone calls, cards, prepared dishes, monetary gifts, words of comfort, and your continuous support were greatly appreciated. You make us feel so loved and you know that we all love
you. May you be surrounded with God's blessings.
LOVE, The Entire Walker Family
