K Robert Odell Turmnn, SK was born October 1,

1933 in Wellington, South Carolina to the late Mr.

Andrew and Mrs. Ronie Turman. He was the fourth of

eight children.

After moving to Augusta, Georgia, he united in Holy Matrimony to Gloria L. Thomas. He joined the Green Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as Sunday School Superintendent and worship leader. He was currently serving as a Trustee Board member, Assistant Chairman of the Deacons Ministry and Church Treasurer.

He leaves to cherish his memory: a devoted wife, Mrs. Gloria L. Turman; three sons, Mr. Robert Odell Turman, Jr., Mr. Michael Thomas, both of Augusta, Georgia and Mr. Gregory Lawson of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; one daughter, Ms. Patricia A. Stirtmire of Copperas Cove, Texas; one brother, Mr. Theodore (Viola) Turman of Willington, South Carolina; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth (Willie T.) Jones and Mrs. Rosa Lee Norman of Albany, New York; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Elsie Turman of Willington, South Carolina; five grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
