The Obituary
WESLEY THURMOND, the son of the late Nebuchadrezzar and Susie Thurmond, was born November 12, 1915 In Edgefield, South Carolina. He received his formal education In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania after moving here In 1923.
His Christian experience began at Resurrection Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Hennlson. He was gainfully employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad for many years. He was a loving father, grand father, and brother.
God called him Home from labor to Rest on Tuesday, February 9 at twelve-OClock p.m.
He leaves to mourn their loss: one son, Wesley, Jr.; one daughter, Ethel Polndexter, who preceded Mm in death; one sister, Evelyn Burgess; four grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one sister-in-law, one niece, Teresa Burgess; three great nieces, one nephew, and a host of relatives, and friends.
Past suffering, past his pain Cease to weep, for tears are vain-
Wesley, who suffered Is at rest Qone to Heaven with the best All our lives we will miss you Tho the tears come and go... In our hearts you will live forever Just Because We Love You So.
