Tom Thomas, Jr., son o f the late Tom Thomas and Louise P. Thomas, was bom in Abbeville County, South Carolina, August 2, 1911. He departed this life April 3, 1996 at the V.A. Hospital in Augusta, Georgia.
In 1959, he confessed his life to Christ and joined the Bethany Baptist Church. And with Christ is where we believe he is now resting.
Mr. Thomas was faithful to his church until he became ill.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Bessie Mae Thomas; two sons, Dennis Thomas and Emmanuel Thomas, both of Evans, GA; one sister, Alberta Thomas, Augusta, GA; one daughter-in-law, Teresa Thomas; two sisters-in-law, Annie M. Eubanks, Evans, GA and Reece Thomas, Cincinnati, OH; one aunt, Mary J. Garnett, Calhoun Falls, SC, one uncle, Amos Pension; twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and a host o f nieces and nephews.
