Crossing The B ar
Sunset and evening star, And one clear callfo r me! And may there be no moaning o f the bar,
When I put out to sea, But such a tide as moving seems asleep
Toofullfo r sound andfoam, When that which drewfrom out the boundless deep
Turns again home. Twilight and evening bell, And after that the dark! And may there be no sadness o ffarewell,
When I embark; For thoughfrom out our bourne o f Time and Place
Theflood may bear me far, I hope to see my Pilotface to face
When I have crossed the bar.
