Farewell To Mary
Mary, we who love you are gathered today; To mourn our loss, your going away.
We each came to say a special good-bye; To help you ascend to your new home up high.
There will be many loved ones to help you in; Your mother, your aunts, and your other kin.
My mom too, will probably be there for you; For she knew of the bond between us two.
They say the day one exits earth is not to be sad; That it is a homegoing, and we should be glad.
Still, its hard to show joy, laughter and such; When already, we miss you so terribly much.
And the mode of your departure, saddens us indeed; Seeming cruel, so heartless, and without need.
But I surmise that as God reached out for you; He said, "Fear not my child, your work here is through.
There are so many here for you to meet. Come sit with them around my feet. "
We must try to remember that Cod made no mistake. And youll be there for us when we awake.
Farewell Dear Mary, at your lifes end; Forever a Christian, a soror, a friend. ETHEL ************
