JjlianM. Sylvester was bom on January 1946 in

City, Alabama.She was the daughter o f the late Mr. William Minger

and Mrs. Johnnie Minger Brooks. She is survived in loving memory by

her devoted husband Colonel (l{et.) JCouis ,fl. JC. Sylvester, a son and

daughter, Mr. JCeith W. JJ Sylvester and Miss Rosalind J j Sylvester, a

son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Michael B. Sylvester, mother Mrs.

Johnnie M. Brooks, brother and sister-in-law Mr. and Mrs. William

Minger, two stepsisters Miss

her husband /drew, stepbrother Mr. Bonnie Brooks, mother and

father-in-law Mr. and Mrs. fouis T. Sylvester and a host o f aunts, uncles,

nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Jjllian held Bachelor and Master's degrees in Education from

Jlbany State and Georgia State Universities respectively. She was

Teacher of the fe a r fo r the 1994-1995 school year, listed in Who's Who

i/lmong .Jlmerican Women in 1978 and held memberships in the

rjlugusla Chapter o f Jack and Jill o f America, Inc., and Telia Sigma

Theta Sorority. She was also a member o f Bicentennial Chapel at Tort

Gordon, Georgia.

Jjllian was a wonderful, extraordinary wife and mother who always

put her fam ily first. In a positive way, she touched the lives o f all who

came in contact with her. She was a Christian woman who strived for

excellence in everything, and onJuly 22, 1997 she passed on to her great

reward in heaven.
