Mrs. jCillian M. Sylvester was bom on January 22, 1946 in fihenix City, Alabama. She was the daughter of the late Mr. William Minger and Mrs.Johnnie Minger Brooks. She is survived in loving memory by her devoted husband Colonel (fytJ J^ouis ^L. JC. Sylvester, a son and daughter, Mr. JCeith W. J^ Sylvester and Miss Rosalind J^ Sylvester, a son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Michael <&. Sylvester, mother Mrs. Jbhnnie M. Brooks, brother and sister-in-law Mr. and Mrs. William Minger, two stepsisters Miss &ianna Brooks and Mrs. <)ebra Smith and her husband ^)rew, stepbrother Mr. ^pnnie Brooks, mother and father-in-law Mr. and Mrs. J^ouis & Sylvester and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, andfriends.
Julian held (Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Education from Albany State and Georgia State (Universities respectively. She was Teacher of the year for the 1994-1995 school year, listed in Whos Who <$mong ^merican Women in 1978 and held memberships in the ^ugusta Chapter of Jack and Jill of^merica, Inc., and Qelta Sigma Theta Sorority. She was also a member of Bicentennial Chapel at $ort Gordon, Georgia.
jQllian was a wonderful, extraordinary wife and mother who always put her family first. In a positive way, she touched the lives of all who came in contact with her. She was a Christian woman who strivedfor excellence in everything, and onJuly 22, 1997 she passed on to her great reward in heaven.
