"A Time To Be Born" - March 8,1938 in Butler County, Alabama, to Marvin and Mercedes Brown who rejoiced at the fruit of their labors, and Thanked GOD for the bounty harvested from their love. Their daughter "Armenia" was born.
"A Time to Love" - Armenia was raised in Detroit, Michigan and attended school. She confessed Christ at the early age of 14 and joined the Springhill Baptist Church in Detroit. She married in 1957 at the age of 19. She became a widow and remarried in 1993 to Frederick E. Stone.
"A Time to Plant" - Armenia devoted much of her life to teaching others and had a sincere love of her teaching profession. She touched the lives of many young people who sought her guidance.
"A Time to Build Up" - Armenia and her husband, Fred, sought to establish a home for her daughter and her husband's children. She was affectionately called "Pooh" by her husband, "Stone Cold" by her students and "Granny" by her grandchildren
"A Time to Die" - Armenia was called home to be with her Lord in his infinite wisdom after a long battle with cancer.

Highlights of "Mini's" Life
Armenia was born in Georgiana, Alabama and raised in Detroit Michigan. She graduated from high school as a PreLaw student where she began working for the City of Detroit Recorder's Court from 1955-1974. She and her family then moved to Omaha Nebraska were she worked for the Corps of Engineers before moving to Atlanta Georgia in 1975.
She attended Georgia State University, earning her BS and began teaching at Southwest Dekalb High School. Thus began her love of teaching. She went on to teach at Belleville High School in Belleville Michigan, Wayne-Westland Adult Education, and Cambridge Business School, while earning her Masters from Eastern Michigan University.
Upon moving back to Georgia, she taught at Peachtree High School, there she worked as the chair for the Business Department. She then transferred to Miller Grove Middle School, where she developed the first FBLA chapter, while serving as the President of the Professional Business Women of Atlanta from 1992-1994. During her tenure at Middle Grove she also earned her Specialist Degree from West Georgia University in 1999.

"Mini" retired from teaching on May 15,2003, and she enjoyed spending her leisure time with her adoring husband and family.
Rejoicing at her homegoing is her beloved husband, Frederick E. Stone; five children; Tosha, Fred (Keisha), Kenya (Chad), Quovatis and Jamal; nine grandchildren; Ryan, Audrey, Jovon, Alandis, Mikael, Ja-Kia, Khalif, Jakaria and Nevaeh;.three brothers-in-law; James Stone, Frank Stone and Willie Rhaney; two sisters-in-law; Mary Rhaney and Linda Jean Stone of Augusta, Georgia; and a host of relatives and friends.
