Obituary
Into another Christian home death has again entered with his unrelenting face, his unhearing ears, his sealed lips. Again a fam ily has gone close to the valley of the shadows and left a love down there, to turn back to the earth to step into the heaven of life where there is no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, nor pain. Surely we can not grieve for our dear husband, father, and grandfather, Fred Stevens, who was called home to be with his Lord and ours on Friday morning, March 12, 1993. It is for ourselves we mourn, perhaps forgetting in our selfish sorrow that he is well with our beloved in that better country.
On January 12, 1906, 87 years ago, Fred was born to the late Anna Etheredge and David "Buck" Graham. After he grew up to be a man he married Georgia Ann Mason. To this union four children were born. A son, Willie Carol, preceded him in death.
Those left to mourn his memory are three daughters, Ruby Louise Barnes and Helen Ruth Morris of Saluda, S.C., and Annie Margaret Gibson of Patterson, Mew Jersey; two sons-in-law; and five grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

When I Must Leave You
When 1must leave you for a little while -- Please do not grieve and shed wild tears And hug your sorrow to you through the years, But start out bravely with a gallant smile;
And for my sake and in my name Live on and do all things the same, Feed not your loneliness on empty days, But fill each waking hour in useful ways, Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer And 1in turn will comfort you and hold you near; And never, never be afraid to die, For 1am waiting for you in the skyl
