OBITUARY
Mrs. Nora Stoney Stallings departed this life on Thursday morning, July 13, 1967 at Orangeburg Regional Hospital, following an illness of several months.
She was born in Barnwell County, South Caro lina to the late Mr, James Stoney and Mrs, Lena Stoney,
At an early age she joined the Saint Paul Baptist Church in Snelling, South Carolina. There she served faithfully until 1955 when she moved to Orangeburg and united with the New Mount Zion Baptist Church. She was affiliated with the Senior Choir, Circle No, I and the Busy Bee Club of New Mount Zion Baptist Church.
In 1947 she was joined in holy wedlock to Mr. Isaac W. Stallings.
She completed her high school education at Butler High School in Barnwell, South Carolina and received the bachelor's degree from Benedict College, Columbia, South Carolina. She also did further study at South Carolina State College, Orangeburg, South Carolina, She was an elementary teacher for a number of years in Barnwell and Allendale Counties.
Survivors include her widower, Mr, I. VJ, Stallings; a devoted mother, Mrs. Lena Stoney of Barnwell, S. C.; one sister, Mrs, Rubena Kemp of Augusta, Ga; one adopted sister, Mrs. Barbara A. Frederick of Brooklyn, N. Y,; five brothers, James Stoney of Moncks Corner, S. C,, Fred Stoney of the United States Army, Ted and Wilbert Stoney of Gallipolis, Ohio, and Archie Stoney of Brooklyn, N. Y.; one uncle, Ernest Thompson, Miami, Florida; 6 nieces and many other relatives and friends.
