Creed
I have one life in which to live, Upon it will depend
Heaven gained or Heaven lost, When I have reached the end.
I must be sure to put away Good works for God to view, Nor spend my time in vain pursuit,
As men are wont to do.
I must get rid of foolish pride Which plagues me night and day, Bite my tongue before someone
Is hurt by words I say. Never grow too fond of all
The glitter that I see, Be content with only what
The Lord has given me.
I have one life in which to live And God is keeping track,
This is my only chance because I wont be coming back. My duty to my fellowman Demands that I must be
The understanding friend to him, That God has been to me.
Every day I must observe, As if it is my last,
And set my house in order Before the time has passed. So down the road of years I live
My solitary creed.... Safe in my love for Jesus, ...Who gives me all I need.
