On October 22, 2005, at 11:00 p.m., Mr. Harold Shuemake expired at the University Hospital after a two year illness. He was born on November 30, 1956, in Augusta, Georgia. Harold was the baby of five children. His father, Ernest George Shuemake, preceded him in death.
Harold received his education in the Public School of Richmond County. He attended Weed Elementary School, A.R. Johnson Junior High School and graduated from Lucy Craft Laney High School in 1974. He joined the Macedonia Baptist Church at an early age.
After many years as a single man, Harold became reacquainted with a childhood friend who stayed next door to his family. After a brief courtship, he and Priscilla Grant were united in Holy Matrimony on December 29, 1999. He was happy to have her family as his extended family and maintained these friendships throughout his marriage. He enjoyed all family gatherings, fishing and bowling. He loved to cook and often came up with new recipes.
Harold worked for over twenty years at the Augusta Environmental Contractors^ Inc. before he was forced to leave due to his illness.
Harold was a loving and dependable person to his family and friends. He was always willing to assist them whenever they needed his help. He was especially fond of his Mother. He visited her almost daily to check on her and see if she had something she wanted him to do. Even during his illness, he made himself available to her.
Harold leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife, Priscilla; two children, Serrano and Chimere Williams; four stepchildren, Shanqua, Tazmon, Tracelle, and Daquiel Finney; his mother, Mary B. Shuemake; three sisters, Barbara S. (Bishop Clarence) Carr of Marietta, Georgia, Betty S. Walker of Augusta, Georgia, and Earnestine S. (Robert) Stokes of East Point, Georgia.; one brother, George Shuemake of Augusta, Georgia; mother and father-in-law, Lula Mae and Richard Geter; four brothers-in-law, Houston (Andrea) Grant, Kelvin Grant, Maurice Hodges and John Wesley Hodges; and one sister-in-law, Loretta (Floyd) Madison; five step-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Dontgrieve for me, for now Fmfree. .

Pm following the path God laid for me. :

I took His hand when I heard Him call,

I turned my back and left it all.

.

I could not stay another day

To laugh, to lave, to work or play. ..

;

Tasks left undone must stay that way,

Ifound thatplace at the close ofday.

If my parting has left avoid,

Then fill it with remembered joy.

A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss;

Ah yes, these things I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times ofsorrow,

I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.

My lifes been fall, I savored much,

Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief.

Dont lengthen it now with undue grief. . .. ; ,

Lift up your heart, and share with me,

God wanted me NOW,He set me free.
