Reflections o f Life
Mr. Curtis Shubert Jr. was born on January 5, 1954, in Augusta Georgia and was called home to be with Lord on July 27, 2015 at 1:58 a.m. at his residence.
Curtis was the son of the late Mr. Curtis Shubert Sr. and Mrs. Aliene Bland. He was adopted and raised by the late Mr. Moses and Laura Jones. Curtis was a graduate of Fort Lauderdale High School in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Curtis was baptized at Raise Bridge C.M.E Church by Reverend Smith. He later moved his membership to Moses Missionary Baptist Church in Augusta, Ga. Curtis returned to Waynesboro and found his church home to be at Waynesboro Deliverance Evangelistic Church. Curtis found that his heart belonged to Raise Bridge where he started his work for the Lord. He was an active member in the church. Curtis was the Sunday School Superintendent and, an active member of the Steward Board.
Curtis was employed at Georgia Power, Procter and Gamble, Sunbeam and Hornes. Curtis was united in marriage to Mrs. Rhonda Berrien Shubert in 2005.
Curtis is preceded in death by three sisters, Mrs. Oliva Williams, Ms. Frances Collins and Ms. Doretha Jones; two brothers, Min. Willie
Hollimon and Mr. CJ Jones; his daughter, Ms. Sulzyche Berrien.
He leaves to cherish his memories; his loving wife, Mrs. Rhonda Berrien Shubert of Waynesboro Ga. four daughters, Venus (Donell) Chance of Sardis, Ga, Patrina (Alexander) McKnight of Conyers, Ga, Sandena Shubert of Sardis, Ga and Patricia (Lewis) Abney of Augusta, Ga., five sisters, Patricia (Larry) Ealy of Augusta, Ga, Valarie (Joseph) Glover of Hephzibah, Ga, Min. Bridget Shubert of St. Petersburg, FL, Barbara Lee of Waynesboro, Ga and Josie Florence of Ft Myers, FL, eleven brothers, Joseph Hurley of Waynesboro, Ga, Kenneth Holliman, Larry (Mary) Hollimon, Jerry Hollimon, Kelvin (Melody) Hollimon, Joseph (Marjorie) Hollimon, Sr. all of Augusta, Ga, James Sapp of Millen, Ga, Edward Shubert, Vandyke Shubert and Randal (Jasmine) Shubert all of St. Petersburg, FL, mother-in-law, Mrs. Alretha P. Berrien, three sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, two aunts, Helen Harris and Margaret Favor of Augusta, Ga., twelve grandchildren, Comiyah, Cordarius, Donell Jr., LaRhonda, Leonardo, Sulzyche, Lavyreous, Izaiah, Michelle, Patrick, Alexandria and Alexia, five great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
