Mrs. Sarah Lizzie Shank died Wednesday, February 28, 1979, at the residence of her daughter in Lincolnton, Ga.
She was born December 3, 1916 to the late Mr. Elzie Andrews and Mrs. Emma Smith in Taliaferro County.
She was a member of the Rocky Mt. Baptist Church in Washington, Ga.
Survivors include her husband, Mr. Cooper Shank, Lincolnton, Ga.; four daughters, Mrs. Christine Freeman, Mrs. Sarah Ann Williams and Mrs. Lillie Jean Danner, all of Lincolnton, Ga., and Mrs. Emma Lucy Norman of Miami, Fla.; one son, Mr. Elzie Lee Jackson, of Miami, Fla.; two adopted sons, Mr. Howard Smith and Mr. Jerome Smith, both of Lincolnton, Ga.; one sister, Mrs. Lillie Mae Green of Miami, Fla.; one brother, Mr. Willie David Smith, of Miami, Fla.; seven grandchildren, one great grandson, one uncle, three aunts, four sons-in-law, two daughters-in-law, several nieces, nephew and a host of relatives and friends.

God saw the road was getting rough, The hills were hard to climb; He gently closed those loving eyes, And whispered, " Peace, Be Thine."
The weary hours, the days of pain; The sleepless nights are passed. The ever patient, worn-out frame Has found sweet rest at last.
