Obituary
Mrs. Evelyn Williams Pride Scott daughter o f the
late Elzy and Emmie Jennings Williams Wallace was born in Edgefield County, South Carolina on April 17, 1917. She went to sleep in death on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at the Patuxent River Health & Rehabilitation Center in Laurel, Maryland after a lengthy battle with Senile Dementia.
She attended the Edgefield County Training School in Johnston, South Carolina. She was married to Thomas Alexander Pride who preceded her in death and from that union one child was born. She was married to Albert Scott Sr. who preceded her in death.
She was employed at Woodward & Lothrop Department store, Washington, D.C., as a supervisor before retiring in May 1984.
Evelyn enjoyed a variety o f crafts such as sewing, cooking, gardening and loved dressing in herfashions. She also enjoyed watching her late night show, Texas Rangers.

S h e was a member o f the W illing Works Club. To fe e l her sweet tooth, she enjoyed her coconut cake.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by seven brothers: Simony W illie, Elzy, Otis, John, Fred and Jesse Williams, one sister L u cille Betts and one grandson Sham ir H. Pride.
She is survived by her son Alexander Pride (Sharen); two sisters Mary B rincefield and Valeria D aniels (Luther); sister-in-law H elen Williams; fo u r grandchildren Evelyn Pride, Patrick Pride (Beverly), James Pride and P au l Pride (Everetta); fiv e great-grandchildren, Leon Gordon (Artisha), ShaVKlerce Pride, Patrick Pride, Jr., Paige Pride and P au l Pride, Jr.; two great-great-grandchildren, Ariyah and Braylen Gordon; and a host o f nieces and nephews and frien d s.
