** OBITUARY **
Mrs. Belle Bennett Scott was bom August 13. 1909 in Hancock County to the late Mr. and Mrs. George Bennett Sr. She departed this life September 4, 1980 at the University Hospital.
She joined the Mt. Zion Baptist in Hancock County at an early age. She moved to Augusta and connected her mem bership with Antioch Baptist Church. She was married to the late Charlie Scott. Unto this union three children were born, Charlene S. Scott, the late George W. Scott and Betty S. Askew.
Survivors are: tw o daughters, Mrs. Charlene S. Scott and Mrs. Betty S. Askew o f Augusta, Georgia; four sisters, Mrs. Olive Dews, N ew York, N ew Y ork ; Mrs. Rosa Moore, Brooklyn, New York; Mrs. Mable Sanders, Dorchester, Mass.; and Mrs. Kat herine Lee, Augusta, Georgia; four grandsons, Percy Garnett Jr., Anthony Ward, Tim oth y Dumas Scott, Reginald Askew; one granddaughter, Pasadena Garnett; two great grands, Keydra Gar nett and Carlos Garnett, all o f Augusta, Ga.; ten nephews, five nieces, a devoted sister-in-law, Carrie Belle Scott and a host o f relatives and friends.

We love the sound o f laughter And the merriment o f cheer But our hearts would lose their tenderness I f we never shed a tear For our Father loves his children, So whenever we are troubled And whenever things goes wrong. It is just G od working us T o make our spirit strong.
