M ust Jesus bear the cross alone and all the world go free. No th e r e 's a cross fo re v e ry o n e and th e r e 's a cross forme. Dec. G. W. Samuel departed this life on September 20, 1979 at 9 25 p.m. in the Wills Memorial Hospital. Blessed is the dead which dieth in the Lord. He was converted at an early age and jo in ed the G ibson Grove Baptist Church and served faithfully until the end. He was joined in holy wedlock to Mrs. Annie Mae Barnett in the year of 1915. To this union 9 children was born.
He leaves to m ourn his passing a loving wife, Mrs. Annie Mae Sam uel, five d au g h ters, Mrs. Clara Weems, Mrs. Rosie Starks, Mrs. Maeozia Finely, Mrs. Ruth Moss all of Philadelphia, Pa., Mrs. Marie W ooten, W ashington, G a., Mr. Willie Lee Samuel, Cleveland, Ohio, Dec. Weaver Samuel, Jr and Dec. Johnnie B. Samuel, Washington, Ga. Mr. Emory Samuel, Philadelphia, Pa., three sisters, Mrs. Connie Sims o f P h ilad elp h ia, Pa., Mrs. Pearl Bums, and Mrs. Mary Lue Samuel, A tla n ta , G a ., th re e brothers, Mr. Benjamin Samuel ofNewnan, Ga., M r. E l m o S a m u e l , a n d Mr . S. J . Sam uel o f Chicago, 111. 38 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Just another soldier gone To get his just reward. He fought the fight He kept the faith and now he has gone to God. Sleep on Dec. Samuel and take your rest. We will never meet you again this side of Heaven. But we will meet you on that beautiful shore.
