You left an impressionable impact and legacy for me to follow. Ill take the characteristics you demonstrated
And the dying grace to go through my test when it comes. Ill always love and hold you deep within my heart!

Even though my days with you were too few, I cant help but remember all the ways you provided for me. We always had plenty offood, family, friends and fun. I can recall how you would go to the store to get plenty of food. Family and friends were always welcome and we just had fun being together. This instilled in me what is really important in life. You could not have passed on a greater gift than your love for your family, friends, food and fun. Ill truly miss you and we will be together again in Christ.

/ am eternally grateful to God for giving you to me. Youre the epitome offatherhood. You stand taller than any man I know. Hard work and perseverance were your motto, giving up and complaining was something you couldn t understand. Through your pain and hurt, you were a warrior. The love that you expressed will always remain in my heart. The joy that you displayed proved that in good and bad times theres always something to smile for. Youve instilled so much in me and through your life I am a better person. Dad, you were my friend, I could always look to you for support, encouragement and strength. I look forward to a reunion with you and until then, know that Ill be doing my best to be the best that I can be.

ANDREW ROUSE, affectionately known as "Andy," was born on March 27, 1939 in Lincolnton,
Georgia to Joe T. and Maria Blackwell Rouse both preceded him in death. Andy proclaimed and accepted Christ as his personal Saviour at Tabernacle Church in Lincolnton, Georgia
at an early age. He later moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and attended First Baptist Church in Braddock Hills, Pennsylvania.
Andy began his formal education in Lincolnton, Georgia continuing in North Braddock, Pennsylvania, where he graduated from Scott High School. He was an avid Basketball Player. Striving for higher heights, he attended Triton College and took IMT Courses at Gottlieb Hospital.
Andy served his country in the United States Army. Andy later moved to Maywood, Illinois, where he met Preather Chatman and married the love of his life. This marriage survived until Andy departed. Andy became a member of Second Baptist along with his entire family. Andy served his Church enthusiastically in any capacity asked of him. Andy worked for Vignola Furniture, Continental Web Press and was self-employed as a General Contractor. Andy loved sports. He played Tennis, Racquetball and Golf. He worked diligently to provide for his family, extended family and others. Andy loved his family, friends, good times and good food. Two brothers preceded him in death, Raymond Rouse and Lace Nathaniel Rouse. Andys physical body is gone but his spirit lives on in the lives of: his beloved and devoted wife, Preather; two daughters, Sherry (Robert) Hammonds and Kimberly Rouse; two sons, Andrew Tyrone (Osseni) Rouse and Antione Douglas; six grandchildren, Ryan, Paul, Paris, Mariah, Genesis and Andrew Jr.; four sisters, Lula Bell Partlow of Royston, Georgia, Mae Leitha Norman of Lincolnton, Georgia, Lucille J. Jenkins of Lithonia, Georgia and Geraldine Bryant of Belleville, Illinois; three brothers, Matthew Rouse of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Joe Rouse of Denmark, South Carolina and Willie Rouse of Suwanee, Georgia; and a special friend, Mr. Rush Smith, in-laws, other relatives and friends.

Words cant express the feelings I am now feeling, but "Thank You." Thank you for being so hard, but yet giving me enough room to grow and be a man. Thank you for being there every step of the way. Thank you for loving me so. Dad you have taught me so much from my first breath until your final breath. First from how to crawl, walk then run and to be the best man I could be. Then, the final lesson of living your life in Christ. The last lesson taught was the most important, preparing me for the afterlife. So long as I follow in your footsteps we will be together again. Dad, "Thanks," I will always love and cherish everything youve taught. Love you always keep a five O ready for me.

Dad, I really couldnt sleep last night, you were on my mind. I really dont know where to start, there are so many things Id like to say. The two that sticks out the most are, "Thank You." Thank You for first being a great father, a mentor and most of all for just being a friend. You have given me a second chance at life. Youve taught me so many lessons. I just want to say, "Thank You."
Dad, the tears are falling as I write this, I never thought this day would come. You taught me and Tyrone the most important lesson of all and thats how to accept death. Well take care of Mom and keep the family together as I promised, so rest easy. I Love You, Dad. Thank You!
