OBITUARY
Some of these days our burdens will be lighter. Some of these days our clouds will be brighter. Some of these days lifes cares will cease. Some of these days our souls will find peace. Some of these days!
- R. Turner
Gregory Leon Rouse was born October 13, 1955, to the late Alexander Rouse, Sr., and Luerean Sims Rouse in Lincolnton, Georgia. He entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 22, 1990.
At an early age, because of his parential upbringing and his personal need for Christian guidance, Greg confessed his religion at New Tabernacle Baptist Church in Lincolnton, where he was baptized by the late Reverend James Willis.
Greg attended the public schools of Lincolnton, Ga. He graduated from Lincoln County High School in 1973.
Greg was gainfully employed during his years in Lincolnton. He worked as a truck driver.
Greg was a very congenial, warm-hearted and kind person. Being a humanitarian, he took the time to help those in need. He loved people and his personality attracted people to him. He loved children and his family, and always took time sharing and caring with family and friends. He will be sorely missed.
He leaves to treasure his life: a caring and devoted wifet Sarah Denise Rouse, Lincolnton, Ga.; two loving daughters, Valerie Lynn Rouse, Lincolnton, Ga. and Kimerious Silbert, Monroe, Ga.; three sisters, and one adopted sister; Jo Pearl, Arbernice and Carolyn Rouse and Alletha Walker, Augusta, Ga.; two brothers, Alexander Rouse, Jr., Queens, N.Y., and Myron Anthony Rouse, Augusta, Ga.; a grandmother, Mrs. Annie M. Sims, Lincolnton, Ga.; mother and father-in-law, Mrs. Margaret and Mr. Harvey Lee Jones, Lincolnton, Ga.; five sisters-in-law: Gloria Rouse, Atlanta, Ga., Genell, Beverly, Mary Lee and Toni Jones, Lincolnton, Ga.; three brothers-in-law, Harvey, Jr., Vontre and Wilburn Jones, Lincolnton, Ga.; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Although our hearts are troubled, And our minds filled with woe We, in this Pilgrimage, Have but a few more suns to go
Before our Heavenly Father extends HIS MIGHTY HAND And we, just like Greg
Shall join that Heavenly Band! - R. Turner -

POEM
Your gentle face and patient smile with sadness we recall,
You had a kind word for each And died beloved by all.
The voice is mute and stilled the heart That loved us well and true, Oh bitter was the trial to part From one so good as you.
You are not forgotten loved one, Nor will you ever be
As long as life and memory last We will remember thee.
We miss you now, our hearts are sore As time goes by well miss you more. Your loving smile - your gentle face.
No one can fill your vacant place.
