THE FAMILY

MR. BOOKER T. ROUSE, was born August 20, 1913 in Lincolnton, Georgia to the union of the late Estes and Mamie Hawes. He departed this life January 15, 1987 at Charlotte Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Rouse was a member of Second Calvary Baptist Church and was a very supportive member. He was employed by Southern Railroad and Metal Service Corp., retiring in 1973 after 35 years of service.
His gentle smile and warm voice will be grately missed by his family and friends.
Surviving to cherish his memories are: his wife, Mrs. Artsie Rouse; his children, Mary R. Abernathy, Delzenia R. Hart and John R. Rouse; grandchildren, Cynthia R. Easter, Felicia Rouse, Grover Stinson, Jr. Kimberly Rouse, John Rouse, Jr. and Chandra Rouse; greatgranddaughter, Veronica R. Stinson; brothers, Willie D. Hawes and Otis Hawes of Augusta, Georgia and Andrew Hawes of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; sisters, Mrs. Mary Hagan of Chicago, Illinois, Mrs. Rebecca Harris, Mrs. Lena Thomas, Mrs. Stella Nunnally and Mrs. Janie Rickerson, all of Augusta, Georgia, Mrs. Jossie Hawes and Miss Lizzie Hawes, both of Lincolnton, Georgia, Sarah Hester of Milledgiville, Georgia; two aunts, Clara Winn of Lincolnton, Georgia and Julia Stark of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Lace Rouse of Lincolnton, Georgia; other relatives and friends.
