** OBITUARY **
Mamie Brown Robinson, youngest daughter and last sur viving member of ten children, was born in Willington, S.C., McCormick County, on January 15, 1884. Her parents were the late Joseph and Mary Guillebeau Brown.
She was a direct descendant of Peter Guillebeau, a family member of Andre Guillebeau, who as a French Huguenot immi grant came to America from France in the 1700s and settled in South Carolina. She lived and was reared in the Andre Guille beau home, last remaining Huguenot home in McCormick County, which still stands after over 200 years.
Her childhood was spent in her hometown where she attended school and grew up as a faithful member of the Springfield Metho dist Church. There she served with numerous organizations.
She met and married the late Fate Robinson and later moved to Augusta, Georgia. To this union two children were born, Mamie Ella and Joseph.
She was a devoted and loving wife and mother and reared her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, of whom she was very proud, in a Christian-like manner. Her near century life span was exemplary of the many traits and attributes which em bossed her life in her caring and concern for her fellowman.
Although she never changed her Springfield membership, she faithfully attended the Trinity C.M.E. Church for many years.

"ROCKED IN THE CRADLE OF THE DEEP"

Rocked i n the cradle of the deep
I lay me down in peace to sleep; Secure I rest upon the wave, For Thou, O Lord! hast power to save.

I know Thou wilt not slight my call,

For Thou dost mark the sparrows fail;

And calm and peaceful shall I sleep,

Rocked in the cradle of the deep.

=

When in the dead of night I lie

And gaze upon the trackless sky,

The star-bespangled heavenly scroll,

The boundless waters as they roll,

I feel Thy wondrous power to save From perils of the stormy wave: Rocked in the cradle of the deep, I calmly rest and soundly, sleep.

And such the trust that still were mine, Though stormy winds swept oer the brine, Or though the tempests fiery breath Roused me from sleep to wreck and death.

In ocean cave, still safe with Thee The germ of immortality! And calm and peaceful shall I sleep, Rocked in the cradle of the deep.
