Rev. Louise Gather Rivers departed this life on Saturday, June 2,2007 at University Hospital. She was born in Augusta, Ga. on December 2, 1930 and was educated in the Richmond County Public Schools.
She had a great personality and never met a stranger. As she walked along the many streets in Augusta, she always took time to greet those that she encountered. When she got off from work in the eV-e---n---i--n--go s,/ she -------would spend a lot of time playing with her son and the nleighborhood
ildren. The children loved her and would often times kn ck on the bor and ask her son, "Can your mama come out to play? Jokingly, Is response would be "No, mama has to finish her hornet
Lrs. Rivers loved the Lord and expressed this love in her passion for Ringing. Over the years, she sang with a number of gospel groups in the local area. On Octoberl,1989, she united with the Beiilah Grove Church Family and became a part of the Senior Choir.
