OBituary

In loving memory of our Mother, Sadie Wilson Richard, we the children and family members make the following testament of her life

<_ Sadie was born March 29, 1944 in Richmond County to the late James and Laura Mae Dorsey Wilson and departed this earthy life on September 7, 2002 at University Hospital.

-

She attended the Richmond County Public Schools: A.R. Johnson and

graduated for Lucy Craft Laney High School in 1962.

She joined the Church at an early age to begin her work for the Lord.

She was a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church and a member of the T.C. Gospel Choir. She later joined the Olivet Missionary Baptist Church where she continued to serve faithfully when asked. She was a member and president of the George A. William Gospel Choir. She * continued her Christian duties until her death.

|

She retired from the Wiley Drayton Day Care Center in Augusta,

Georgia. Sadie loved children and always surrounded herself with them,

in her home as a childcare provider for many families.

Sadie has parted since her work for Christ was completed but has left a loving family to cherish her memories, two daughters, Angela Amos, Augusta, Georgia, Dawnya Gahagan, Radcliff, Kentucky; one son, Calvin Richard, Hephzibah, Georgia; two sons-in-law, Salonick Amos, Augusta Georgia and Robert Gahagan, Radciff, Kentucky; one daughter-in-law, Vanassa Richard, Hephzibah, Georgia; two loving and devoted sisters, Geraldine Lewis and Gladys Lewis both of Brooklyn, New York; one aunt, Alberta White, Brooklyn, New York; six grandchildren, Amara Franklin, Ayla Amos, Tselem Gahagan, Taven Gahagan, Luis Castro and Ross Nipple Junior; one nephew, Torrie Lewis; one devoted cousin, Charlie Collins; two god daughters, Dana Rollan snd Krishna Adams; one god son, Dejasn McKinney and a host of relatives and friends.

St. John 14:1-3
''Let not your heart be troubled: Ye believe in God, Believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. If I go To prepare a place for you, I will come again, And receive you unto myself; that's
Where I am, there ye may be also."
"A tribute To My Sister"
This tribute comes to thank you, Sadie, For needed words of praise,
The counsel and the guidance, too, That shaped our grown-up days, No words of ours can tell you, Sadie,
The things we really feel: But you must know my love for you
Is lasting, warm and real You made our world a better place And throughout the coming years We'll keep these memories off you
As cherished souvenirs,
