Friday, May 18, 2007. He was the son of Ms. Barbara Grubbs Redmond and Mr. Edgar Davis Redmond, Jr. Edgar was born on September 16, 1970 in Ancon, Canal Zone, Panama.
Edgar received his early education in the Columbia County Public School System. He continued his education at Augusta State University (formerly Augusta College) with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree.
At an early age, Edgar received Christ in his life and was baptized.
Edgar served in the Army for approximately six years. He served in the Desert Storm War and was honorably discharged after serving his time.
Edgar leaves to cherish his memories: his parents, Ms. Barbara Grubbs Redmond of Grovetown, GA and Mr. Edgar Davis Redmond, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC; children, Joshua Ethan Redmond and Katherine Nicole Redmond of Montmorenci, SC; sisters, Ms. Sheila Redmond ( Albert Hunter), Martinez, GA, and Mrs. Patricia Minton (Randy), Martinez, GA; aunts, Ms. Narcissus Williamson, Augusta, GA, and Mrs. Eleanor Ashe, Bronx, NY; uncles, Mr. Willie Anthony Grubbs (Joyce), Augusta, GA, and Mr. Johnny Lee Redmond, Washington, DC; great-aunt, Mrs. Hattie Jones, Augusta, GA; niece, Alaina Minton, Martinez, GA; nephews, Matthew Redmond, Atlanta, GA and Andrew Minton, Martinez, GA; and Ms. Ora Trowel).
