** OBITUARY **
Deacon Quiller's Theme was the 14th Chapter of John: " Let not your heart be troubled: Ye believe in God, believe also in me."
Deacon John Lance Quiller was the son of the late Deacon Charlie and Louisanna Mims Quiller was bom on May 14, 1906 in Aiken County and departed this life on Sunday, January 2, 1983.
At an early age he was converted and baptized at the Mims Grove Baptist Church, was ordained as a deacon, and served faith fully until his health failed him.
He was united in Holy Wedlock to Mrs. Adline Green Quiller in 1923, and to this union four children were bom, and one won adopted. One preceded him in death, Carrie Lee Quiller.
He leaves to mourn his passing a loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Adline Quiller; three sons, Deacon James Quiller, Mr. Calvin Quiller and Mr. David Quiller of North Augusta; one daughter, Mrs. Annie Lou Hawkins of North Augusta; one sister, Mrs. Annie Lou Bright, North Augusta; one uncle, Deacon Jim W. Mims, Edgefield County; one aunt, Mrs. Mamie Daughtry; one son-in-law, Deacon Henry Hawkins, Sr.; three daughters-in-law, Mrs. Mae Norris Quiller, Mrs. Margie Quiller and Mrs. Ida Pearl Quiller all of North Augusta; six brothers-in-law, Mr. Willie Green and Mr. Vincent Green of Augusta, Georgia; Mr. John Henry Green of North Augusta; Mr. Ebbie Green of Philadelphia, Pa., Mr. J. B. Green of Flushing Long Island, N. Y. and Mr. John Broadwater of Edgefield County, S. C.; six sisters-in-law, Mrs. Sarah Green of Phila., Pa., Mrs. Maybel Green of Augusta, Ga., Mrs. Annie Mae Bryant of Phila., Pa., Mrs. Lillie Bell Green of Flushing Long Island, N. Y., Mrs. Ella Quiller, Graniteville, S. C., Mrs. Pauline Quiller, Graniteville; twenty-three grandchildren and forty-six great grands, nieces, nephews, seven Godchildren and a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.
" ALTHOUGH THE CURTAIN FA LLS" There comes a time for all of us when we must say good-bye, But faith and hope and love and trust can never, never die Although the curtain falls at last, Is that a cause to grieve? The future's fairer than the past, If only we believe. And trust in Gods' eternal care....So when the Master calls Lets say that life is still more fairer, Although the Curtain Falls.
