was born on May 31, 1943 in Sumter, South Carolina to the late Helen Pringle and Willie Adams, He was affectionately known to many of his friends as "Bob". Our hearts were saddened when we lost him early Easter morning, April 11, 2004.
spent his early years in Sumter, South Carolina and moved to Brooklyn, New York at the age of ten. He attended Boys High School in Brooklyn, N. Y. He later attended Fashion and Design where he made his career as a designer for Fire Island and Calvin Klein Industries.
was a loving person who tried to help everyone. He loved to take his grand-daughter Shaila swimming at the YMCA. In the early days, he always took his children, nieces and nephews apple picking, fishing dancing and hunting. He also showed his son and nephews the art of DJ-ing. In the later years, he worked beside his long time friends, lassie at the Bargain Spot and the Dow twins inn the entertainment industry. Whenever possible, Bob tried to give back what the Lord so freely gave him.
was preceded in death by his sister Dora and three brothers, Philip, Jasper and Thomas, Jr.
leaves to cherish his great memories his wife Phyllis; daughter Yolanda; son DeShawn; grand daughter Shaila {his heart); mother-in-law Alice "Granny"; dedicated sisters Sue (Henry) Johnson of Dalzel, S.C. and Helen (Donald) Riddick of Queens, N.Y.; his lifelong friends Andre Banks and Judith Hill; a host of nieces, nephews, dear family and special friends.

Dont
Don t spend too much time mourning Tears are for the sad I left to be with Jesus
And this should make you glad Dont waste your hours in grieving
No need to feel distress Im tired oflifesfrustrations
I had to get some rest Don t vex yourselfwith questions
Or try to reason why Lif/ e f/or me has ended It came my time to die Dont lose the love I gave you
Feed it with care, Grow it with devotion And spread it everywhere Don tfret because my leaving Came in such a way We will have another meeting In Gods eternal day!
