If We Only Understood
Could we but draw back the curtains that surround each others lives, see the naked heart and spirit, know what spur the action gives, often we would find it better purer than we judge we should; we should love each other better if we only understood.

WHAT GOD HAS PROMISED
God hath not promised skies always blue, Flower-strewn pathways all our lives through; God has not promised sun w ithout rain, Joy without sorrow, Peace without pain.
But God has prom ised strength for the day, Rest for the labor, light for the way, Grace for the trials, help from above, Unfailing sympathy, undying love.
