Obituary
Bernice Miller Perkins, a dedicated teacher and servant of God, passed peacefully to her heavenly home on April 12, 2014, surrounded by her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, as well a beacon of faith and a lady with many skills, interests, and talents. She was born in Abbeville County on September 21, 1937. She lived and taught most of her remarkable life in Greenwood County.
Bernice is survived by Raymond, her dedicated husband of 53 years, and her three sons, Kenneth (Carolyn) Sullivan of Greenville, SC, Raymond Jr. (Valarie) Perkins of Columbia, SC, and Michael (Kymberli) Perkins of Detroit, MI; seven grandchildren, Josh, Treva, Brittney, Ebony, Raymond III, Melanie, and Kaden; and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Katherine Wright of Detroit, MI; Sylvester (Mattie) Miller of Melbourne, FL; Johnny (Rebecca) Miller of Carlisle, AL; Sister-In-Laws Nannie Miller of Donalds, SC, Rose Ann Miller of Detroit, MI; Indiana (Doug) Thomas, of Greenville, SC; Brother-In-Laws Owen (Gloria) Perkins, of Lakeland, FL; Grady (Natalie) Perkins of Garner, NC; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tommie Si Willie Mae Miller, her brothers, Robert Lee, J.T., and Rogers (Barbra) Miller.
