Deacon Charlie L, Patrick was born in Burke County, GA., on October 18, 1924. He departed this life on Friday, March 12, 2010 at the University Hospital, Augusta, GA.
I He was the son o f the late Darrin Patrick and the late Irene Scott Patrick. At an early age, he accepted Christ and joined the Palmer Grove Baptist Church, where he served faithfully until his health failed. He served on the Deacon Board, Sunday School Superintendent and worked diligently with the Treasurer Department.
On May 8, 1945 he was united in holy matrimony to Queen V. (Walker) Patrick o f Waynesboro, GA. To this union four daughters and two sons were born.
Deacon Patrick was preceded in death by his daughter, Vivian Merriweather.
He leaves to cherish his memory; wife, Queen Patrick; daughters, Annie (Eddie) Scott o f Hephzibah, GA., Carla (Randy) Harris o f Hephzibah, GA and Thelma Butler o f Augusta, GA; sons, Charles (Gaynell) Patrick o f Atlanta, GA and King (Delphine) Patrick o f Hephzibah, GA; sister-in-law, Estell Crawford, son-in-law, William Merriweather, eleven grand children, four great grands and a host o f other family members andfriends.
