James was a loving and devoted husband and father. He was caring and supportive of his family and delighted in sharing with his friends. He will always be remembered as a man of good humor, affectionate concern and gentle spirit.
James is survived by his loving wife of thirty-two years, Millie M. Parker; three daughters, Geraldine (David) Graham, Deborah (Stephen) Taylor and Ave (Eric) Jack; a daughter-in-law, Annie Mae Parker; five grandchildren, Kier Parker, David "Larry" Graham, Jr., Debra Graham, Ave Taylor and Vivian Taylor; a sister-in-law, Agnes M. Sibert; two "adopted" sons, Gary (Sonia) Manor and Horace (Deneen) Manor; a godson, Bradford Collins III; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Evry step is getting brighter, As the golden stairs I climb; Evry burdens getting lighter, Evry cloud is silver lined. There the sun is always shining. There no tear will dim the eye, At the ending of the rainbow, Where the mountains touch the sky. Many things about tomorrow, I dont seem to understand; But I know who holds tomorrow, And I know who holds my hand.

Sweet hour ofprayer, sweet hour ofprayer, May I thy consolation share,
Tillfrom Mount Pisgah s lofty height I view my home and take myflight: This robe offlesh Ill drop,
and rise to seize the everlasting prize, And shout, while passing thru the air, "Farewell, Farewell, sweet hour ofprayer!"
